Den første danske GDPR-anmeldelse er faldet

Taxaselskabet 4×35 blev mandag den 25. marts 2019 politianmeldt af Datatilsynet og indstillet til en bøde på 1,2 mio. kr. for overtrædelse af EU’s databeskyttelsesforordning.
4×35 er som den første danske virksomhed blevet meldt til politiet for brud på GDPR-lovgivningen. Datatilsynet indstiller taxaselskabet til bøden for manglende sletning af kundernes oplysninger. Tilsynet vurderer nemlig at næsten ni mio. telefonnumre – og dermed næsten ni mio. personhenførbare data – er blevet gemt uden et sagligt formål. Da Datatilsynet gennemførte kontrol hos selskabet i efteråret 2018, var der registreret oplysninger om 8.873.333 taxature, som var ældre end to år.

Anmeldelsen er et afgørende skridt
I 2ndC følger adm. direktør Jesper Bergstedt sagen. Anmeldelsen er kulminationen på 10 måneders venten på at se persondataforordningen håndhævet i en dansk kontekst.
”Det er afgørende, at der nu sendes et klart signal om, at det har konsekvenser ikke at tage lovgivningen alvorligt. Alle virksomheder og organisationer må og skal lykkes med at implementere processer, der tager individets privatlivsrettigheder seriøst. At bøder skal på bordet for at understrege vigtigheden af det er ærgerligt, men nødvendigt,” skriver Jesper Bergstedt i et debatindlæg på LinkedIn.
